Written by Aquaila Shene’ Barnes and directed by Barbara Montgomery, THE COST follows the behind-the-scenes drama of the Foster family as they maneuver one of the most exciting political races in Ohio history. The Foster Campaign goes on a roller coaster ride from underdog to potential front runner. However, the moment comes when the family is faced with a choice that could solidify their win yet go against everything the campaign stands for.  

 

Aquaila Shene’ Barnes has been chosen to share her play in this Summers Alumni Showcase, which will round out the Negro Ensemble Company’s 2017 Season to be presented July 12 – 16, 2017  at LaMaMa Theatre

With an ultimate desire to allow creativity to outshine budgetary restrictions, we are seeking additional support to assure “THE COST” an easeful journey. Donations will be used to supplement: Actor fees Transportation costs, as well as Marketing

Contributions over $1,000 will receive Backstage access or video chat to meet the cast, Four (4) tickets to the show, Cast Photo and THE COST playbill autographed by the playwright

Contributions from $501 - $1,000 will receive Two (2) tickets to the show, Cast Photo and THE COST playbill autographed by the playwright

Contributions from $251 - $500 will receive Cast Photo and a THE COST playbill autographed by the playwright

Contributions up to $250 THE COST playbill autographed by the playwright

With rehearsals starting June 22, we are asking for donations to be submitted by Monday, July 02, 2017 to ensure all production costs are covered.
